Michelle had complimentary tickets to a preview of the Frieze Art Fair, so we went along last night and I took a few shots with my Nokia. They're random and untitled, but it was an interesting show and vast in scale. The champagne was a bonus! Click images for large.
Michelle and I saw the Ron Mueck exhibition in Paris in May, which was incredible. We were prohibited to take photo's there, but here it was allowed, so this was a perfect opportunity for me.
We didn't stick around for too long, but found this last exhibit fascinating. A mirror with a gradient of white half-tone dots, giving a strange illusion of mist.

Last night I was lucky to get an invite to see Jodorowsky's Dune, a truly exceptional documentary by director, Frank Pavich about Alejandro Jodorowsky’s infamous attempt to bring Frank Herbert’s novel to the big screen. If you get the chance - go see it!
Back in the early-seventies, Jodorowsky enlisted an elite group of artistic mercenaries, including French comic book artist Moebius, who illustrated the storyboards; screenwriter Dan O'Bannon (Dark Star, Alien); artist H.R. Giger (Alien); and SF paperback illustrator Chris Foss. For the cast, he lined up icons ranging from Salvador Dali and Mick Jagger to Orson Welles, and even his own son, who was put through two years of gruelling martial arts training to prepare for his role. I went along with Rian Hughes, who is the editor and designer of Hardware: The Definitive SF Works of Chris Foss. Accompanying Frank Pavich was Mark Bennett who runs a really comprehensive website called Dune - Behind The Scenes which is well worth checking out.
Producers: Frank Pavich, Stephen Scarlata, Travis Stevens
Starring: Alejandro Jodorowsky, Michel Seydoux, H.R. Giger, Chris Foss, Nicolas Winding Refn, Amanda Lear
Director: Frank Pavich
Cinematographer: David Cavallo
Editors: Alex Ricciardi, Paul Docherty
Music: Kurt Stenzel

Running for two days is the London Film and Comic Con and I went along yesterday to take a few shots at the request of Mike Conroy and his daughter, Cassandra - the organisers of the Comics Zone. It's open until 6pm and it's well worth a visit if you're in London today. Here's a selection of images from yesterday featuring some of the amazing costumes on show. Click for large.
